Pastors Stan and DeAnna Jones
Pastors Stan and DeAnna returned to the Highland area in 1996 to do ministry. They started with just 7 people in the basement of their house. Over time the church has changed locations and in numbers, but their motivation and goals have remained constant. They came back to Arkansas for family and the community. For the past 27 years, their mission has been to pursue the heart of God and create an atmosphere where the gifts of God are at work. Where people are being changed through encounters with God as it is talked about in Eph 4:11-13.

Who We Are
LITW Church is striving to live out the Biblical command to love God, each other, and our neighbors well. This means worshipping and following Jesus Christ not only through our words, but also through the lives we lead.
LITW Church began in 1996 when Pastor’s Stan and DeAnna came to Hardy, Arkansas to answer God’s calling to pioneer a church for the glory of the Lord. God has truly blessed beyond measure in these 25 fruitful years of ministry.
To lead people in a Growing Relationship With Jesus.
We are a people in process. We have imperfect messy lives, but we are pursuing and experiencing a transforming relationship with Jesus. Our goal is to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. Everybody is welcome here, whatever your story, your questions, doubts or struggles. We’re all about doing life together, being intentional about our growth as people, serving one another and our community.
We want to help you be spiritually strong in the power of the Holy Spirit!
To be a church of grace-filled people, empowered for community transformation and new church formation, so that the Gospel is faithfully transferred from person to person and generation to generation.
As Jesus Christ works in and through us to fulfill our mission and pursue our vision, we expect to see results in three areas: Community Transformation, New Church Formation, Next Generation Empowerment.
Community Groups are an essential part of our church, as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings – in the synagogues – as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one another.
God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This “each other” is called His Church.
The mission of LITW Church is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked. If God’s mission is to be glorified through the redemption and reconciliation of a people, the Church’s mission must orient around the glory of God and seek to glorify Him through redemption and reconciliation.
What We Believe
The Bible was written by man and inspired by God, and because the author Himself is perfect, we believe the Bible to be completely true, trustworthy, and infallible. It is the foundation by which all our beliefs are founded.
There is only one true God. He is holy, He is perfect, and He is alive. He has revealed Himself to us through the Holy Trinity; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each of these is a representation of who God is and what His relationship is with us.
Salvation is available to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. It is not something that can be earned, but has been given to us freely and sacrificially, it is a choice each of us has to make for ourselves. Salvation is the culmination of believing, receiving, and obeying. There is no salvation apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe in and follow the example set for us by Jesus Himself that after salvation comes Water Baptism. Water Baptism is the outward and public profession of our faith in Jesus Christ. As per the symbolism, we have been washed clean, and made new.
Like a father, God cares for and loves His children. We were all made in His likeness, and He desires nothing more than for us to return back to Him. His love for us is never ending and never failing. There is no height or depth that can keep Him from us, and He proved that by sending His Son so that we might have salvation.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Conceived of the Holy Spirit Born of the virgin Mary. Died for our sins, buried and arose 3 days later Is the only way to the Father
When Jesus parted from earth, He said he would send a helper, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers believers with the same power that filled Jesus on earth. He convicts us of sin, and bestows the gifts of the spirit so that we may better serve the Father. Through the Holy Spirit, the Son and Father are exalted. He is our everyday guide and council.
